There will be no school show for Jesus Christ Superstar

Please check back with us to find out our next school show!

Dear Teacher:

Fallbrook Players  continues to highlight the value of performing arts education through engaging and inspiring performances in Fallbrook.  We are pleased to provide school performances as a tool to cultivate understanding, appreciation and advancement of the arts and music by engaging your students through music and performing arts education.

We ask that you consider bringing your class to this production of Thoroughly Modern Millie performed by the Fallbrook Players, under the direction of Jennifer McCormick  We have done everything possible to bring you a high quality performance that will excite your students and enhance their understanding of the performing arts.

It is our goal that attendance at our performances will be an integral part of your educational program.  We have discovered that students benefit more from the performance if they are well prepared in advance.  We have included information that we hope you will find useful.  This document includes lesson plans on general music, specific recordings and recommended readings.  We are also sending you a lesson plan aligned to the standards of the California Language Arts and Visual and Performing arts frameworks.

Thank you for joining the national movement to include the arts into learning.  Together we can help schools in Fallbrook achieve educational excellence, and serve as a catalyst for life-long learning and promotion of our rich cultural legacy.  We hope you find these materials helpful and that your students will find the performance a memorable experience.

Enjoy the show!

General Information

The Fallbrook Players  performances are copyright protected.

NO USE OF CAMERAS, VIDEOTAPING OR RECORDING DEVICES IS PERMITTED!

Theater Etiquette:

The audience has a role to play in the performances.  You and your students will enjoy the play more if they are prepared and aware of what is expected of them.

The following are suggestions for proper theater etiquette:

·        Take care of your students restroom needs before the show starts.

·        Enter the theater in an orderly fashion.  Ushers will seat you.

·        There should be no talking during the performance.

·        Whistling is unacceptable.

·        Feet stay on the ground, never on the seat in front.

·        At the end of a performance, the audience shows its appreciation by applauding.  If the performance has been especially good, an appreciative audience will stand and give a “standing ovation.”

Please remember that cameras and recording devices are not permitted in the theater.  Kindly remember to turn off all electronic devices before entering the theater.
